Camp Staff
The SRACLC Day Camp staff is composed of recreation
professionals, educators, teacher’s aides, college students
studying related fields and high school students. Each site has
a Supervisor who oversees the day-to-day operations of camp with
staff who are trained and/or certified in First Aid and CPR. The
average camper to counselor ratio is 2.5:1 with 1:1 when deemed
necessary for safe and successful participation.
Behavior Expectations
SRACLC encourages and promotes the concept of fun for
everyone. However, certain rules have been established to ensure
the safety and enjoyment of all people involved.
Examples of unsafe behavior include:
1. The camper is endangering the safety of other campers,
counselors or self, by demonstrating any of the following
behaviors: hitting, kicking, biting, spitting. And/or
2. Destroying property of SRACLC or other cooperating
agencies.
In the event either of the above occurs, the following
procedures will be taken as a means to develop a successful
behavior management program.
1st offense: Parents called in regards to situation, camper
removed from camp, meeting set up with Camp Coordinator, parents
and SRACLC Administrator. Reasonable accommodations will be
addressed.
2nd Offense: Parents called, camper removed from camp, camper
suspended from camp. Reasonable accommodations made will be
reviewed.
3rd offense: Parents called, camper removed from
camp for the remainder of the summer with a prorated refund.
